Responsibilities: My job role is youth mentoring in a secondary school, I have a cohort of young people who I see on a 1:1 basis, in these sessions I build self-esteem and self-confidence and encourage the young people to realise their aspirations and recognise their personal strengths and abilities. From this I encourage them to take part in activities offered from the scheme the young people can take part of, including trips during school time and after school clubs.
Favourite part of your job: Meeting the young people and learning all about them.
Hobbies/Interest: Early morning walks watching the sunrise with my dog. I also enjoy making memories with my family and friends, especially when the sun is out!
