Responsibilities: Senior Youth Worker at Glusburn Youth Club, Youth & Community Development Worker Craven
Some of my responsibilities as a Youth & Community Development worker include providing information, advice and guidance to both voluntary run and direct delivery youth groups and projects throughout Craven. Helping volunteers of new youth groups work through the things they will need to put in place to run safe, positive and fun activities for young people. I also help with the training and development of the volunteers who work in our clubs in area along with those working in the voluntary run clubs and projects too.
As senior youth worker I help ensure we are providing healthy, positive, fun and engaging activities for the young people age 11 to 19 who attend our club in Glusburn.
Favourite part of your job: I enjoy meeting lots of new people throughout Craven whilst visiting youth clubs & attending community events & I absolutely love working with volunteers who are passionate about setting up new provisions for young people in the community helping them to engage with young people by listening to their ideas & then working with them to establish and set up quality provisions & new opportunities for all young people to enjoy locally.
Hobbies/Interest: I love spending time with my family doing a variety of activities with my daughter each week watching her grow and thrive learning new things that she loves especially whilst helping out on the family farm. I enjoy exploring different areas of the UK whilst going on adventures as a family in our caravan. I love the outdoors and walks in the countryside and also attend many agricultural events and shows all over the UK throughout the summer months.
